Glasgow Medicine UCAT: 2027 rules and past thresholds by applicant group
Glasgow allocates interviews by UCAT total among applicants who pass its other checks, with a separate line for each applicant group. For 2026 entry the lines were 1870 (Scotland), 1990 (rest of UK) and 2150 (international and EU). The 2027 lines are not set yet.
Scotland-domiciled: lowest total considered for interview, 2026 entry
1870 out of 2700
Against all UK candidates who sat the 2025 UCAT, that line was between the 40th and 50th percentile cut points (final 2025 data: at least 1820 and below 1880). The 2027-entry line does not exist yet: Glasgow sets it in November 2026, after every UCAT 2026 score is in.

How Glasgow uses the UCAT for 2027 entry
- UCAT is required. Applicants who have not sat it will not be considered, with no exceptions.
- Sit UCAT in the summer before you apply; reapplicants must sit it again in each year of application.
- Glasgow does not consider the Situational Judgement Test (SJT) part of the UCAT.
- Interviews are allocated by UCAT total among applicants who meet every other screening requirement, such as minimum academic requirements and a satisfactory personal statement and reference.
- The lowest score considered for interview can differ by applicant group, because Glasgow manages Home, Rest of UK and International numbers against Scottish Government and Scottish Funding Council targets.
- The 2027-entry thresholds will be set in November 2026 and published after the cycle, in September 2027.

What is the Glasgow UCAT cut-off for 2027 entry?
It is not set yet. Glasgow says it will know its 2027-entry thresholds in November 2026 and will not publish them until the cycle ends in September 2027. The range it considers changes every year with the applicant cohort.
Does Glasgow use the UCAT SJT?
No. Glasgow's UCAT page says it does not consider the Situational Judgement Test part of the UCAT.
Can I compare Glasgow's old UCAT thresholds with 2026 scores?
No. Thresholds up to 2025 entry are totals out of 3600, from the four-subtest UCAT. From 2026 entry the total is out of 2700, and Glasgow notes it has only one year of data on the new format.
