How these dates work

UCAS closes medicine and dentistry applications on 15 October. UCAT sends your result to your universities in early November, and most schools start inviting applicants to interview after that. Each school runs its own timetable, and many only publish a range of months.

We read the pages of all 50 schools on the UCAT Consortium's 2027 course list. 27 publish at least one date. We only show what a page says: where a school gives a month, we show the month, and where it gives nothing we say so. If a school emails you a different date, the school is right.

When do medical schools send interview invitations for 2027 entry?

Not before UCAT sends your result to your universities in early November. Published timings: Bangor (Before the end of November); Birmingham A100 (Normally December to January); Imperial (Rolling, from December); Lancaster (Mostly in December); Oxford A100 (Late November); Portsmouth (November or December 2026); and Sheffield A200 (Usually January; selection days towards the end of January). Most other schools do not give a date.

Which medical schools have published exact interview dates?

Anglia Ruskin A100 (7 to 11 December 2026); Anglia Ruskin A100 (7 to 13 January 2027); Anglia Ruskin A101 (14 January 2027); Lancashire A202 (14 and 15 December 2026 only); Leeds A100 (4, 5 and 6 January 2027); Nottingham A100 (15 December 2026 to 29 January 2027); Nottingham A108 (6 to 29 January 2027); Oxford A101 (17 and 18 December 2026); Sunderland (From the week of 7 December 2026); Warwick A101 (15 to 18 December 2026); and Warwick A101 (13 January 2027). Other schools give a window of months, shown in the calendar above.

When will I hear about a medicine or dentistry offer?

Published decision timings: Birmingham A100 (By mid-March); Exeter (By the end of March); Glasgow A100 (Majority by the end of March); King's A100 (By the end of May at the latest); King's A205 (By the UCAS decision deadline in May); Keele A100 (By the end of March 2027 (some in April)); Portsmouth (Decisions likely February, offers March 2027); Queen Mary A100 (March, once all interviews are done); Queen's Belfast A100 (Most by end of March; final by late April or early May); Sheffield A200 (Usually the end of March); and Southampton A100 (By the end of March). Some decisions come earlier, and waiting lists can run into the summer.

Are there forms to send after the UCAS deadline?

Yes, at some schools: Exeter, Extenuating circumstances form (By 29 October 2026; Only if something affected your studies or exams); Hull York, Additional Information form, an essential requirement (By 30 October 2026); Hull York, Interview fast-track eligibility form (By 30 October 2026; Only if you are eligible for the fast track); Liverpool, Applicant online Form A (Received by 23 October 2026, 08:30 BST; Resit or subject-change applicants, those with extenuating circumstances, and anyone who cannot offer 9 GCSEs (which includes all international applicants)); Sunderland, Interview selection tool to complete (Issued from Monday 5 October 2026); and Sunderland, Deadline to complete the interview selection tool (22 October 2026, 6pm GMT). Missing a required form can end an application, so check each school you apply to.

What if my school publishes no dates?

23 of the 50 UCAT schools give no interview or decision timing on the pages we checked, including Aberdeen, Aston, Brighton and Sussex, Brunel, Cambridge, Cardiff. Watch your email and UCAS Hub, and ask the admissions team if you need to plan around a date.
