Gateway and foundation-year medicine and dentistry, 2027 entry

These longer routes are mostly for applicants who meet widening-participation criteria, which each course sets. They still use UCAT, and the SJT rule can differ from the same school's five-year course.

How to use this list

  1. Check the widening-participation criteria on the course page first. Eligibility decides everything else.
  2. Read the SJT rule for the gateway course code; it can differ from the standard course.
  3. Ask the school whether its UCAT threshold for the gateway course is lower. Most do not publish one.

Where 2026 scores sit so far

On the preliminary 2026 table (20,794 tests to 13 September 2026), the 10th percentile cut point was 1,630, the middle 1,980 and the 90th 2,300. These will move when the final table is published. Place your own total.
