What it covers
UCAT ANZ candidates in Australia and New Zealand, from the UCAT ANZ Consortium's summary statistics: 17,341 candidates in 2026, 16,950 in 2025 and 15,240 in 2024. Totals are out of 2700 from 2025 (three cognitive sections) and out of 3600 in 2024 (four, including Abstract Reasoning). SJT is a scaled score from 300 to 900.

Method
- The Consortium publishes the score at each decile (10th, 20th, up to 90th percentile), the quartiles and the mean for every section, the total and SJT.
- Between two published deciles we draw a straight line and read your percentile off it. A score that equals a decile boundary gets that exact percentile.
- Below the 10th or above the 90th percentile no boundary is published, so we extend the curve of a normal distribution through the two outermost deciles and say so beside the answer.
- We also read the same score against the other years that report the same section on the same scale, so you can see how much the cohort moved.
Uncertainty and limits
- Straight lines between UK deciles, checked by leaving out each inside boundary in turn, missed by about one percentile point on average and two at most. The ANZ tables have the same shape, so expect similar error.
- Beyond the 90th percentile the estimate relies on the normal-curve extension; the true tail can be thinner or fatter.
- The 2026 file does not state its test window or call itself final; it covers 17,341 candidates and was published in September 2026, after testing ended.

What the answer means
The answer is the share of that year's UCAT ANZ candidates who scored below you on the score you chose. It cannot tell you whether a university will shortlist you. ANZ universities combine UCAT ANZ with ATAR or GPA, interviews and their own thresholds, and some publish no threshold at all. It does not apply to the UK UCAT.

What is a good UCAT ANZ score in 2026?
It depends on the universities you apply to. As a guide, the 2026 median total was 1950 out of 2700 and the top 10% of candidates scored 2340 or more. The mean was 1964.
What percentile is 2000 in UCAT ANZ 2026?
About the 56th. 2000 sits between the published 50th percentile (1950) and 60th percentile (2040).
How is the UCAT ANZ SJT scored?
UCAT ANZ reports Situational Judgement as a scaled score from 300 to 900. In 2026 the median was 589 and the 90th percentile 664. The UK UCAT reports SJT as Band 1 to 4 instead, so the two cannot be compared directly.
Can I compare a 2024 UCAT ANZ total with 2026?
Not directly. 2024 totals include Abstract Reasoning and run to 3600; from 2025 there are three sections and totals run to 2700. Compare section scores or percentiles instead.
Is UCAT ANZ easier than UCAT UK?
The two tests are scored and reported separately, to different cohorts, so a higher ANZ median does not mean an easier test. Percentiles only compare you with candidates who sat the same test in the same year.
