What it covers

UK UCAT totals out of 2700 from the 2026 test (for 2027 entry). Today's position uses UCAT's preliminary deciles from 20,794 tests to 13 September 2026. The final estimate applies what happened between UCAT's preliminary and final tables in 2025.

Method

  1. Today's percentile: straight lines between UCAT's nine published preliminary decile boundaries. Outside the 10th and 90th percentiles we extend a normal curve and say so.
  2. In 2025 each decile boundary fell 40 to 60 points between the preliminary table (21,882 tests to 14 September, mean 1939) and the final one (41,354 tests, mean 1891), because later candidates scored lower on average.
  3. UCAT expected about 22,000 more tests after its 2026 snapshot. That is a slightly larger share still to come than in 2025, so we scale each 2025 fall by 1.09 and subtract it from the 2026 preliminary boundary. That gives a final 2026 mean near 1918, a median boundary near 1910 and a 90th percentile near 2250.
  4. The range runs from no fall at all to twice the 2025 fall. Your final percentile is read off the estimated table the same way as today's.

Uncertainty and limits

  • Straight lines between deciles were checked by leaving out each inside boundary in turn: the error averaged 0.96 percentile points (largest 2.0) over 21 checks.
  • The fall rule was checked once: frozen before the 2025 finals were seen, it predicted them within 8.8 points on average. One year is thin evidence, and the adjustment for 2026's larger remaining share is untested.
  • The range is a scenario span, not a 95% interval. A year unlike 2025 could land outside it.
  • The 2025 preliminary deciles come from Medify's copy of UCAT's table; UCAT's current page confirms the 1939 mean.

What the answer means

The answer estimates your rank among all 2026 UK candidates once everyone has sat. It cannot change your score, it is not official, and it is not a school cut-off. UCAT's final table replaces it as soon as it is published.

Questions people ask

When do the final 2026 UCAT deciles come out?

UCAT publishes final statistics shortly after testing ends. Testing ended on 24 September 2026; the 2025 final table appeared on 1 October 2025. We will replace this estimate with UCAT's figures, and publish how far off it was.

Will the UCAT deciles go down?

Probably. In 2025 every preliminary decile boundary fell by 40 to 60 points in the final table, and the mean fell from 1939 to 1891. If 2026 behaves similarly, the median boundary moves from 1980 to about 1910 and the 90th percentile from 2300 to about 2250.

What percentile is 2100 in 2026?

In UCAT's preliminary 2026 table, 2100 is about the 69th percentile. Our estimate for the final table is about the 76th, within a range of 69th to 82nd. In 2025, 2100 was exactly the 80th percentile boundary.

Does my percentile matter more than my score?

Schools see your score. Many compare it only with their own applicants, but a percentile tells you how common your score was, which helps you judge how competitive a published cut-off is.
