Questions people ask
Which UK universities offer graduate entry dentistry?
King's College London (A202), Aberdeen (A201) and Lancashire (A202), each four years. King's also runs a three-year course for qualified doctors (A204).
Do I need the UCAT for graduate entry dentistry?
Yes. All three graduate courses use the UCAT taken in the year you apply. King's course for doctors does not.
Can I do graduate entry dentistry with a 2:2?
At King's, with a bioscience postgraduate degree at Merit or above. Aberdeen says an MSc does not help with a 2:2, and Lancashire asks for a 2:1.
What degree do I need for graduate entry dentistry?
A bioscience degree for King's, a medical or health science degree for Aberdeen, and a biomedical or health-related degree for Lancashire.
Can international students apply for graduate entry dentistry?
Lancashire advertises one international graduate place for 2027. Aberdeen had one in 2026 and has not confirmed 2027; King's has not confirmed.

How we work this out
What it does
Add your degree class and subject. We check every UK graduate entry dentistry course for 2027 entry.
The three four-year graduate entry dentistry courses in the UK (King's College London A202, Aberdeen A201, Lancashire A202) and King's three-year course for qualified doctors (A204), for 2027 entry.
Method
- We read each university's own 2027 pages, UCAS and the Dental Schools Council table on 5 October 2026, and every degree-class, test and closure claim was re-checked independently.
- Your degree class is checked against the minimum, and against King's rule for a 2:2 with a bioscience postgraduate degree.
- Your degree subject is checked against the subjects each school accepts. Where the rule depends on module content, it is a check.
- Extra rules your answers cannot settle (A-levels, start dates) are shown as checks.
