How the range is worked out

  1. Each question has a difficulty level from our question bank. Difficulty levels are set by our question writers.
  2. In each section we find the ability that best explains how many you got right, allowing for how hard those questions were.
  3. We place it on the 300 to 900 scale using the section averages and spreads UCAT published for 2025.
  4. With only four or five questions in each cognitive subtest, the range is wide; a full mock narrows it.
  5. Your total's place comes from the final 2026 UK deciles. Sitting UCAT ANZ? It comes from the ANZ Consortium's own 2026 percentiles instead.
  6. SJT is reported from a full section (bands in the UK, a scaled score in ANZ), so it gets no estimate here.

Questions

Is this the official UCAT?

No. The questions are our own, written in the UCAT's format and timing and checked by two independent solvers. The official practice tests are on the UCAT website.

How accurate is the score?

It is a range, because 20 questions cannot pin one number down. A full timed mock covers far more of the test.

How long does it take?

About 13 minutes: Verbal Reasoning 2:00, Decision Making 5:15, Quantitative Reasoning 3:35 and Situational Judgement 2:15. That is the real test's time per question.

Do I need an account?

No. You see your marks and your likely score range without one. After your result, a free account adds the skills to fix first, a two-week plan and every answer worked through, and keeps them.

What is a good UCAT score?

In 2026 the UK average was 1,918 out of 2,700, and the top 10% scored 2,250 or more.
