How the range is worked out

  1. Each question has a difficulty level from our question bank. A middle-level question is one an average candidate gets right about two times in three.
  2. In each section we find the ability that best explains how many you got right, allowing for how hard those questions were.
  3. We place it on the 300 to 900 scale using the section averages and spreads UCAT published for 2025.
  4. The range covers about two chances in three. With five questions a section it is wide; a full mock narrows it.
  5. Your total's place comes from the final 2026 UK deciles. SJT is reported in bands from a full section, so it gets no band here.

Questions

Is this the official UCAT?

No. The questions are our own, written in the UCAT's format and timing and checked by two independent solvers. The official practice tests are on the UCAT website.

How accurate is the score?

It is a range, because 20 questions cannot pin one number down. About two times in three your level sits inside it. A full timed mock narrows it a lot.

How long does it take?

About 13 minutes: Verbal Reasoning 2 minutes, Decision Making 5¼, Quantitative Reasoning 3½ and Situational Judgement 2¼. That is the real test's time per question.

Do I need an account?

Not to take it or see your marks. A free account shows your score range, the skills to fix first and a two-week plan, and keeps them.

What is a good UCAT score?

In 2026 the UK average was 1,918 out of 2,700, and the top 10% scored 2,250 or more.
