Why one UCAT mock can't pin your score
Run the same student through a hundred mocks and see how far the scores spread.
580 to 720middle 90% of 100 mocks
Same student, same level: 44 questions per mock still give scores from 570 to 750.
More questions per mock narrows the spread; four times the questions halves it.
The real test has this too: UCAT's 2025 figures put the standard error of a Verbal Reasoning score at about 39 points.

How this works
How this works
Method
- Made-up student: each question is right with the same chance, independently. Real questions vary, so real mocks spread at least this much.
- Each mock's share right is turned into a scaled score with our UCAT calculator's sum.
- The standard error is the candidate-weighted average of the five 2025 forms' scaled standard errors of measurement, as UCAT published them.
