You sit the UCAT on a computer at a Pearson VUE test centre. There are centres across the UK and in 130+ countries. You book a centre, date and time through your UCAT account, not by calling a centre.

How booking works
- Register for a UCAT account.
- Book a centre, date and time when booking opens.
- Keep the confirmation email: the booking is not made without it.
For the 2026 test, booking opened on 23 June and closed on 16 September at 15:00 UK time. UCAT publishes the 2027 instructions in March 2027.
No slots at your centre
- Try other dates, times and nearby centres.
- Check again later: slots free up when others cancel or move.
- Book as early as you can.

On the day
Bring photo ID that matches your booking name exactly. You get a laminated notebook and pen at the desk.
