UCAT access arrangements
Extra time, rest breaks or a separate room must be approved before you book. The standard allowance is 25% extra time; more needs evidence. Practise on your own timings from day one.

What you can ask for
- Extra time: 25% as standard, 33% or 50% when your evidence explains why.
- Rest breaks that pause the clock: 10 minutes per hour of testing.
- A separate room, medical items at your desk, coloured overlays or ear defenders.
- Online testing, in exceptional circumstances.
The evidence
Still in education: a signed letter from your school or college confirming the condition and the arrangements you get. Left education: a diagnostic report or a letter from your doctor. Most applications are decided within five working days.
