Medify vs MedEntry: UK prices, practice and mock-score limits
For short UK access, both providers currently list a £15 one-week option and a £30 option around a month. Medify bills its monthly subscription at £30 per month; MedEntry lists 30 days at £30. These are different access terms, not evidence that the teaching is equivalent. Try official free practice first, then compare sample explanations and the exact expiry or renewal terms. Check the selected currency, start date, last access date, renewal and cancellation before paying. A calendar month is not always 30 days. The MedEntry page labels these packages for 2026, so do not assume its season package includes a 2027 test.

What the public descriptions establish

Provider feature descriptions are claims about their products, not evidence of official endorsement or comparative effectiveness. Open a sample and compare how each explains the same kind of mistake. Do not decide from the largest question count or a testimonial alone.
Is Medify harder than MedEntry or the real UCAT?
We have not independently calibrated their mocks against the live test. A forum report about mock 10 or a single candidate’s score cannot establish a general conversion. Paper content, timing, prior exposure and the candidate’s strengths can all change a practice result. The official UCAT practice page says its own tests do not provide a scaled score.
Worked example Compare the next action, not an invented prediction
Original teaching example. A student gets a lower estimated score on one provider and a higher estimate on another. On both, they miss questions by reversing an implication. Which evidence should guide the next session?
Why this works: The repeated reasoning error is actionable across both attempts. Practise implication direction on fresh questions, then retest under comparable conditions. Preserve each provider’s estimate with its source and form name.
Why the tempting route fails: Averaging the two estimates or adding an arbitrary adjustment creates a prediction without calibration. Buying another bank does not itself repair the repeated mistake.
A practical purchase checklist
- Try the official tutorials and a fresh practice set before paying.
- Identify one recurring obstacle and test a provider’s sample explanation against it.
- Count how many study sessions remain before your booked test and choose access covering those dates.
- Check whether the feedback you want is included in the selected tier, and whether it comes from a person or software.
- Save the terms you accepted and check cancellation or renewal requirements. Do not assume access ends automatically.
If the free materials already let you diagnose and repair errors, keep using them. If you need extra structured practice, choose on demonstrated usefulness and affordable total cost. This guide does not rank either provider by predicted score gain.
