Invitations are based on UCAT ANZ results only, not your academic record. Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning count equally; Situational Judgement only separates equal totals at the cut-off.
Interview places
About 600 applicants are invited to a medical program interview. At least half of the school leavers invited are from South Australia.
Final ranking
UCAT ANZ 20%, interview 40%, academic score 40%.
Minimum ATAR
90.00 to be eligible. Adelaide says the ATAR needed in practice is usually much higher.
UCAT UK
Not accepted in place of the UCAT ANZ.
Without the UCAT
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander pathway and the Northern Community Care Stream do not need the UCAT ANZ.
2026 to 2027 dates
SATAC applications 3 August to 30 September 2026. Interview eligibility emails 22 October 2026. Interviews late November to December 2026.
