What SJT measures: The situational judgement test (SJT) measures your capacity to understand real world situations and to identify critical factors and appropriate behaviour in dealing with them.
How it is marked: Full marks are awarded for a question if your response matches the correct answer and partial marks awarded if your response is close to the correct answer.
Bands: Those in Band 1 demonstrated an excellent level of performance, showing similar judgement in most cases to the panel of experts. Bands come from scaled scores; UCAT does not publish raw-mark cut-offs.
Ours: Our keys are original practice keys, reviewed independently, not the Consortium's expert panel. Half a mark for one step off is our rule. We never turn practice marks into a band, and other providers set their own keys and rules, which is why their SJT bands can disagree.
