UCAT past papers: what exists, and what to use instead
There are no UCAT past papers: the UCAT Consortium does not release real tests. The closest are its four free practice tests, A to D, written to be like the live test. Save them for your timed weeks and learn on question banks and original mocks first.
What to use instead
| Resource | What it is | When |
|---|---|---|
| Official Tour Tutorial and question tutorials | The test player and every question type, explained | First |
| Official question banks | Short sets: four each for Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning, three for Situational Judgement | While you learn each subtest |
| Official practice tests A to D | Four full tests in the real player, in standard time, 25% extra time or untimed. Every answer explained, but no score | Your last few weeks |
| UCATGenius full mocks | 25 original full mocks on the real clock, with marks, time per subtest and review. Mock 1 is free | Between the official tests |
Every official test and bank, with links: UCAT practice tests
If you start in Year 12
- January to May: the tutorials, then a question bank alongside each subtest you learn.
- Six to eight weeks before your test: timed sets, then full mocks.
- Last weeks: the four official tests, one at a time, each reviewed the same day.
Week by week, around school: your Year 12 UCAT plan
Questions sold as past papers
UCAT does not release its tests, so any "UCAT past paper" is either the free official practice or a provider's own questions. Check which before you pay.
The official tests show right and wrong answers but save nothing. Write your marks and the reason for each miss down before you close one.
