UCAT for international students
International applicants to UK medicine and dentistry sit the same UCAT as UK students, at Pearson VUE centres in 130+ countries. Outside the UK it costs £115. Some schools take no international students; others set a higher line for them.

Where you can apply
| Group | Medical schools, 2027 entry |
|---|---|
| UK applicants only | Anglia Ruskin, Bangor, Edge Hill, Lincoln, Sunderland |

The other UCAT medical schools take both. Lancashire medicine asks only UK applicants to sit the UCAT.
Higher lines at some schools
Some schools publish separate interview cut-offs for overseas applicants. For 2026 entry, set on the 2025 test, out of 2,700:

| Queen Mary | A100 | 2,030 | 2,170 |
| Sheffield | A100 | 2,120 | 2,070 |

Plan it
- Find a centre early: some countries have few.
- Book before booking closes in mid-September.
- Check each school's SJT rule: Liverpool medicine, for one, does not use the SJT for international applicants.
